Continuing a long-established tradition of holding Open Days, Mgaloblishvili Kipiani Dzidziguri (MKD) welcomed I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) law students at the firm’s offices last week. The undergraduates were offered the opportunity to gain greater insight into the firm’s culture and the daily work of practicing lawyers.

According to the World Justice Project Rule of Law Index 2015 report Georgia has been ranked 29th among 102 countries and got the highest scores in the region.

Mikheil Gogeshvili, a lawyer at Mgaloblishvili Kipiani Dzidziguri (MKD), was invited to speak at a Georgia Franchise Awareness Workshop held on May 16–17, 2016, in Tbilisi, Georgia. As an expert in this field, he informed the participants about the legalities of franchising in Georgia, including both legislation and practice.

On May 5, 2016, Tamara Tkeshelashvili of Mgaloblishvili Kipiani Dzidziguri (MKD) law firm moderated a panel at a Business Conference: European Companies in Georgia – Growing Trade and Investments, organized by EU-Georgia Business Council, and funded by the EU. The panel participants – the representatives of the Partnership Fund, Anaklia Development Consortium, Carriage Building Company, Poti Free Industrial Zone (Poti FIZ) discussed the opportunities offered by the DCFTA for growing investments in Georgia, and showcased their ongoing and future investment projects.
On May 16-17, 2016, Tbilisi will host a Georgia Franchise Awareness Workshop, presented by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP), and the U.S. Embassy of Georgia, in coordination with the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Georgia Entrepreneurship Development Agency, and Georgia National Investment Agency.
