«Ukraine - Georgia»
Despite the fact that the Georgian-Ukrainian economic relations are developing successfully with each passing year, until recently there had been no single organization providing an opportunity for representatives of business circles of Ukraine and Georgia to share their experiences of doing business, discuss new projects, and in fact, strengthen economic cooperation.
To change this situation, solving the formidable task of improving communication between the business elites in both countries, is the ambitious goal of the founders of the Georgian-Ukrainian Business Club, the first association of businessmen from two countries, aimed at promoting and developing economic and cultural ties between Ukraine and Georgia.

Last October an oil trader and would-be pipeline mogul named Rony Fuchs received an unusual invitation from Nika Gilauri, the Prime Minister of Georgia. Gilauri asked Fuchs to visit Batumi, a resort on the Black Sea, "to finalize the settlement" of a $100 million commercial dispute—money that Fuchs had been demanding from the Georgian government for almost 15 years. "Such a meeting will avail us of the opportunity to discuss all the details and will undoubtedly positively affect amicable solution of the matter," the Prime Minister wrote in English. The stationery bore the official seal and letterhead of the former Soviet republic, and Gilauri had signed it with a looping flourish.

MKD is betting on a regional outlook to boost business in Georgia and throughout the South Caucasus.
In May, MKD hosted its first region-wide conference law conference for the business community focusing on various Georgian legal issues, as well as issues in neighboring countries.
The event brought colleagues from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine together in Tbilisi for a day of seminars and networking. In addition, the conference covered the management of political risks in the South Caucasus, as well in Ukraine. According to Victor Kipiani, the conference's success has motivated MKD to plan a second gathering in the autumn for the banking and finance sector.
